The Wampatuck and Gates Girl Scout Cadettes from Troop 74449 in Scituate came to ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Street School on October 21 to earn Woodworker Badges.

Steven Brown, an instructor in the Cabinet and Furniture Making program, and three NBSS students — Kamala Questel, Donna Fisher and Lesley Gold — hosted the troop and introduce them to woodworking, starting with an initial piece of wood through to a finished product. Each girl had an opportunity to try measuring, sawing, planing and carving and each cadette took home a paper tower holder that they made themselves!
